JUSTA is a fair trade project that began working with Maya artisans, especially women, in Guatemala in 2009. Our goal is to empower and support artisans in creating a sustainable production system and market opportunity while earning living wages for their quality work. In Spanish, justa means ´fair´ or ´just´, but to us the acronym stands for so much more.

JUSTA supports direct trade, fair labor, and continuing education. JUSTA works directly with artisans on a long-term and on-going basis. We help connect artisan groups to wholesale market in the US, as well as exhibit at several music festivals and green festivals across the country. JUSTA is pleased to partner with Maya Traditions on two tours this year. In each tour participants will get to meet the artisans that produce JUSTA’s products and learn more about the indigenous Maya culture of Guatemala.
